Screw the two murdered kids...
We'll just go after the legally registered guns...
As Mayor David Miller fights to rid the city of both legal and illegal guns, police raided an east end home and seized dozens of firearms and some ammunition. That'll show those gangbangers.
Peter Sedge, 56, of Toronto, has been arrested and charged with unsafe storage of a firearm.

UPDATE: My mistake, three shootings...
But this one mostly fell off the media radar... 'cos the kid survived.

The mayor claims collecting firearms and using them at shooting ranges is an unsafe hobby that puts the public at risk.
David "make the law up as you go" Miller will next target people who drive SUV's.
What next?: The Mayor claims driving SUV's is an unsafe lifestyle choice that puts the environment at risk.
What a fu&ktard!
How exactly did the police KNOW guns were being stored unsafely there? Was there an annonymous tip? Or did they just start looking in the database for people who legally own lots of guns? Is this the start of a massive amounts of busts for "unsafe storage."
Nope, the gun registry won't be used to confiscate guns.

What we need is a revolution, Bastille-style, to eject the elitist bastards from power. Miller, McGuinty et al are behaving like Louis XVI and Marie-Antoinette in their arrogant dismissal of the people. Considering how inept and cowardly the OPP is, they wouldn't have anyone to hide behind.
Viva la revolucion!
I wonder when Miller or McGuinty or Charest are going to go after the smugglers on the Indian reserves who bring in a lot of the handguns.
Don't hold your breath!
I wonder where our future soldiers are going to come from, if no one can practice shooting at ranges in our large metropolitain areas. I guess the Maritimes and the prairies will once again provide most of our soldiers.
What about older cadets? Are they going to be able to practice?

Where are the leaders for the revolution?...certainly not John Tory.
Has anyone started the Ontario Reform Party?
I'm ready...
bluetech
I'm ready too for a new party to fight creeping Progressivism and the Nanny State. The Tories, God bless 'em, seem to have forgotten that liberal Western democracy is worth fighting elections for.

"frank says... I'm ready too for a new party"
i think there's a political reality here, a tightrope if you will, that conservatives, for the moment, have to walk.
the only thing that's gonna save dion's bacon, for instance, is for someone to split the vote on the right.
be careful what you wish for.
