I can see your confusion...
But no... it's not Steffi and Her Majesty's Loyal Opposition... this time...
"Parliament will not allow that such deceptions are made," Mr Larijani said. "If they continue along this path, the new parliament will intervene in the case and set a new line for co-operation with the IAEA."You think these guys are scary now?
The comments drew chants of "God is great" and "Death to America" from the audience of MPs.
Try to imagine if they got their sweaty hands on an actual nuclear device.
Actually, that problem might take care of itself, too.

Sounds almost as bad as McCain's "bomb, bomb, bomb, bomb Iran" little ditty, doesn't it?
The difference is, his country has got a multitude of WMDs -- and makes a habit of consistently waving those nuclear tips under the noses of other countries. And, of course, that proposed "missile-defence" system is really just for benign, peace-spreading purposes, isn't it?
Do we need to go into much detail about Israel here? A country that has lied for decades, up to this very day, about having a hundred to two-hundred atomic weapons.
Now would be a good time for you to go and dry your own sweaty hands, you soft-headed, hypocritical moron.

"the jeff "bugboy" davidson fanclub shrieks... you soft-headed, hypocritical moron"
yup... how could anyone argue with that... because, of course, there's no difference between the mad mullahs in tehran... and, say... us.
they must just love you over at liblogs.

Oh, dear. Stand back everyone -- neo-conservative's attempt at playing the party puppet has sent him into a... near... pre-linguistic... state.
The pull-cord in his back must be wearing thin.

well said, jeffy... there's certainly no disputing a cogent, airtight argument like you've laid out here.

Personally, I am hoping Israel has at least 500 atomic weapons, with half of them pointed directly at Iran, and the other half targeted at the rest of the terrorist countries.
I like the idea of Israel being the stopper between them, and us.
Something about thinking that helps me sleep better at nights.

israel doesn't even need nukes to deal with iran... just ask the syrians.
this situation will only get so far and, trust me, the idf will bring the rain.

I think it will happen sooner than we think. People are just tired of the punch and judy show. President McCain will be able to handle the diplomatic dust-up when it does.
Group hugs all around.

it's not a question of if... it's simply when.
anybody who thinks israel will allow it's arab neighbours to acquire the bomb... is sniffin' glue.
