Old Liberals never die...

They just set their phasers... "on stunned..."

Victor Viggiani has one of the toughest jobs in the universe. The retired elementary school principal spends his time lobbying reporters to blow a massive government cover-up wide open and reveal that extra-terrestrials have been visiting our planet for years.

Viggiani found his champion in Paul Hellyer, who was federal defence minister in Lester B. Pearson's cabinet and then ran for the Liberal leadership against Pierre Trudeau in 1968.
Now that explains a few things.

It seems to me that some of Hellyer's own extraterrestrials were lurking around downtown Toronto in the late eighties and nineties canvassing votes so Paul could get back into Parliament. They weren't particularly obtrusive or even noticeable, but like those Hari Krishnas you see marching down Yonge Street in the summer banging away on their whatevers, they were very... strange... and always likely to show up again. I just hope the real extraterrestrials turn out to be better.

Hellyer may be on to something; the E.T. in Youtube's "alien autopsy" sure looks like Dion to me.
