Here's part of the reason...

...Ontario has the highest electricity costs in North America...

TORONTO - Ontario’s cabinet minister in charge of government purse strings says the $4.5-million pay received by Hydro One’s CEO is “not part of the equation” of cutting electricity costs for consumers.

New filings show that CEO Mayo Schmidt was paid $4.5 million in 2016 — an $850,000 salary plus bonuses — and those top five executives were paid a total of about $11.7 million.
Since the McGuinty Liberals were elected in 2003... they have doubled Ontario's debt.

North Americas highest electricity costs ...... and lowest voter IQs.

Don't forget the other end of the equation Neo. Can't have a corrupt inept government without the zombies to put/keep it there. Can you hardly hold back your enthusiasm for when that debt comes due? If you can flee the provinnce, last man there gets to pay the tab.

The real reason is because the Liberals didn't buy hardly any cheap hydro power from Quebec and instead signed ridiculous green contracts with Samsung and wind and solar cronies in Ontario.

old white guy says...........jeez, he got bonus for screwing over the customers, I thought we were customers, even though our deals with hydro are hardly a traditional consumer supplier relationship. usually monopolies do what hydro does, bill you for whatever the hell they think they rip out of your pocket. what will they do when there is no more left to steal?

it's a liberal thing... they depend on the general apathy of voters... and it usually works.
