C'mon Pierre... what's the deal here?

You're thinkin' you wanna drive the bus... you gotta stop muckin' around with the emergency exit...

If Stephen Harper insists on moving ahead with Senate reform, he can expect the Quebec government to fight him all the way to the Supreme Court.
Uh, schizophrenic much?

Maybe English Canada needs to have a referendum of our own... it's not like you guys are the shining jewel in the crown here.

Let's have it, right now... you're in... or you're out.

British Columbia has thrown up the odd chiselling premier, Atlantic Canada is famously steeped in patronage, but there is no comparison to the kind of octopussal industry-union-mob-party configuration lurking just below the surface of politics in Quebec.

As long as Que still talks of separation they have no right to say anything about what we in Canada might or might not do.
Why would they go to the Supreme Court over anything, when they do not respect Canada.
Time for the rest of us to treat Que as a non province, to give them a taste of what separation would mean.
No more seats for Quebec, ever.
Layton on cpac saying the Throne Speech must reflect that 60% did not vote for the govt. Well Jack, more than that did not vote for the ndp, and 97% did not vote Green.

I find it mind boggling that just as Stephen Harper's conservatives gain a majority in the senate - the cries to abolish it start to reach a fever pitch.

Funny how it has been humming along with PM appointed senators for almost 145 years and nary a boo...but now that the left see their advantage being abdicated they decide it is not worth having.

Do any of them see the hypocrasy in this??

"ag says... humming along with PM appointed senators for almost 145 years"

yeah... funny how that works, huh?

in a perfect world... now that he has a majority... the pm should just drive a stake through this monster's heart.

of course... that'd just set off a shitstorm on the left about what an evil dictator he is.

damned if you do... damned if you don't.

While we're on this subject, here's my thought for the day.

I have been asking for years why the ROC doesn't have a vote to dump quebec. I got tired of them freeloading many many years ago.

Canada has been distorted beyond recognition, and has been manipulated by Quebec politics, and politicians for 40 or 50 years now. I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one exhausted and fed up with the never ending catering to the myopic tribalism and perpetual Quebec victimhood.
