"You gave away..."

"...the things you loved... and one of them was me"...

The Canadian military has tried previously to change or alter some of its equipment for women. In 1997 it earmarked more than $2 million for creating what it believed would be the world’s first combat bra. The project was eventually abandoned.

The action plan focuses on Designated Group Members, which the Canadian Forces defines as women, Indigenous people, persons with disabilities and members of visible minorities. Also included in the strategy is the LGBTQ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Transsexual, Queer, Questioning and 2-Spirited) community.
I myself am looking forward to Canada's first 2-Spirited, paraplegic Wiccan jet fighter pilot... even if she doesn't have a fully functioning "combat bra."

old white guy says............maybe the military should focus on being combat ready and stop the social BS, Canada's military is a bureaucracy. I guess we could find five thousand capable men who could go into battle without suffering mental trauma. Most are paper pushers and dress up soldiers. I do have some experience with the military.

Even degenerate communists don't use the military as some kind of social engineering project - what we are dealing with here is some sort of cultural genocidal anti-nation freak government hither to unknown in the realms of despotism.

"anon says... some kind of social engineering project"

remember when the military's main raison d'etre was to break stuff and kill people?

the somme, vimy, juno beach, khandahar... i'd love to see pierre-lite's "give peace a chance" corps spring into action... with their new "pretty in pink" mentality.

A post over at Blazing Cat Fur links to story that suggests Trans identified people are (generously) estimated at .3% of US population. So if out forces are about 66,000 then 190 or so recruits would roughly match their portion of Canadian population. A lot of expenditure for such small numbers, but then $2m would buy a lot of female underwear. What I am missing is why our combat troops must mirror society to the smallest decimal point. Could it be that the designated groups have no interest in joining a military, especially when they may very well be posted to regions where active wars are underway. Nothing wrong with that, but our recruitment could be pitched to individuals who really really wish to serve and defend Canada whatever their makeup might be.

well, after the liberals are through with the military it will more closely resemble the mouseketeers than a credible fighting force.
