-- BELLEVILLE -- Stephen Lewis, former Canadian ambassador to the United Nations, arrived in Belleville from New York Sunday afternoon to have his picture taken for a cause dear to his heart.And... apparently... a total disregard for the feelings of their immediate families.
The calendar features 12 local grannies - one for each month - baring themselves for the cause and is based on the famous calendar created by a women's institute in England that was made popular in the movie, Calendar Girls.
All the Grannies were photographed in a state of undress, he noted, "thereby showing a great sense of humour and comfortability with their individual bodies at this point in their lives."
Yeah... lets hear it for "Naked Wrinkly Pride Day."
