Bless his Noodley Goodness

An Austrian atheist has won the right to be shown on his driving-licence photo wearing a pasta strainer as "religious headgear".

Niko Alm first applied for the licence three years ago after reading that headgear was allowed in official pictures only for confessional reasons.

Mr Alm said the sieve was a requirement of his religion, pastafarianism.

LAST WORD: In other Godly news
The picture is taken from the back of the cafeteria. In the distance are the boys. They’re male, so they get to sit up front at prayers. Behind them are the girls. They’re female, so they have to sit behind the boys because they’re second-class citizens – not in the whole of Canada, not formally, not yet, but in the cafeteria of a middle school run by the Toronto District School Board they most certainly are.

Thank you for that link to Pastafarianism, neo,I haven't had such a good laugh in a long time!

I just may start a branch of this religion here, and agitate to have prayers in the cafeterias of all the schools every Tuesday.

And of course, some of us may want to join up with the RCMP,all the while wearing that sacred and required spaghetti strainer.

Hey,it's our RIGHT!

The guy may be a looney, but he's a looney with a sense of humour!

dmorris says... that sacred and required spaghetti strainer."

this headgear is no more outlandish than a religion that prohibits (never mind consumption) physical contact with pork products... or, more to the point, that prescribes genital mutilation for young girls.

i guess the tdsb just doesn't see it that way, huh?
