At what point do we admit...

...this isn't about inanimate chunks of steel...insert alt text here

This is Shakeil Wheatle’s second murder of an innocent stranger in the Lawrence Heights community. Both victims were unarmed, law-abiding men with no criminal records.

Wheatle’s lawyer, Gabriel Gross-Stein, offered an apology to the Engelbrecht family on behalf of his client. The judge suggested it might have more meaning if it came from Wheatle himself — but he declined the opportunity.
Wheatle, Wheatle... that sounds so familiar.

RELATED: Making guns "super, double illegal"...

...isn't the answer...
California, where a gunman killed 12 people in a bar in Thousand Oaks on Wednesday night, has some of the strictest gun laws in the country.
The authorities had the shooter examined for mental illness back in April... and then just let him go with firearms privileges intact. Just like Canada's "catch & release" legal apparatus, the system failed.

You don't stop drunk driving by banning cars.

old white guy says +++++++++ what would be much better than a apology would be the death penalty. that folks would be true justice. feeding, housing and clothing this killer for the rest of his life is not justice.

It is a proven fact that the death penalty guarantees NO repeat performances of these crimes....Steve O
