"islam has decided to embrace this wonderful tradition." So they did. Mind you, they embraced the tradition 1,400 years ago and have affirmed it ever since. One could argue they pretty much invented warring over "beads." If not the progenitors of the practice they certainly honed it to a fine art over the centuries.
