And this is news... how?

Hmmm, gonna go out on a limb here... and hazard a guess you ain't gonna find him in his birthday suit at some sketchy Chinatown massage parlour either...this is news, huh?BUT IT'S STILL NOT NEWS.

FROM THE COMMENTS:

"I do not have a problem with legalizing all drugs: pot, cocaine, heroin PROVIDED we completely dismantle the welfare state; medicare, pharmacare, public education, social assistance including CPP and OAS."

"If one chooses to waste their life on drugs (including booze & tobacco) I should not be compelled to pay the bill."

RELATED: Who's torquing your headlines?

Here's a hint... it ain't Karl Rove or the Tea Party...
Britain’s leading green activist research centre spent £15,000 on seminars for top BBC executives in an apparent bid to block climate change sceptics from the airwaves, a vast new cache of leaked ‘Climategate’ emails has revealed.

They show that University staff vetted BBC scripts, used their contacts at the Corporation to stop sceptics being interviewed and were consulted about how the broadcaster should alter its programme output.

LAST WORD: Yup... that's just how...

...I remember it.

roy... actually not too many junkies driving around... they're all too busy giving 5 dollar blowjobs to unwashed strangers in dirty back alleys to finance their next hit on the pipe.

hmmm... aren't these mayors the guys the people who amassed the largest concentration of broken down whores & degenerate heroin addicts... in all of north america?

all that collected misery & death... and we should be asking the guys who turned a blind eye to the problem for advice?

see... i'm gonna go out on a limb here... and say that endorsing & enabling drug use isn't actually the answer.

just something to think about, vancouverites... as you're writing that huge municipal tax cheque.

ps... i wouldn't let red gregor walk my dog.

Review the history of drugs in Canada & the USA. Cocaine, cannabis etc were legal over the counter items prior to the progressive movement at the turn of the 19th/20th century. As governments began to spend tax dollars on social services the call for better behaviour amoung the citizens began. Alcohol prohibition was one of the results. It went too far as most users of booze were not gutter drunks but normal folks who liked an occassional beer, wine or cocktail. It was classic overreach brought on by success in banning opiates, cocaine and cannabis.
Medicare has lead to the severe restrictions on tobacco use and now is setting its do gooder sights on foods (sugar, trans fats, red meat).
There is no free lunch: to obtain social welfare you MUST sacifice your freedoms.

the only thing pot and heroin have in common is their current legal status. heroin is more like alcohol actually.
