Never let the facts...

...stand in the way of a good shiny-pony story...

The leadership hopeful has among the worst records for missing votes and has come under fire for skipping his responsibilities and ignoring his constituents to earn hundreds of thousands of dollars moonlighting as a "professional speaker."

In this session of Parliament, only three MPs have a worse voting record than Trudeau who has missed 221 votes, or about 64%.
But, but, but... isn't he dreamy?

COMPASSIONATE, INTELLECTUAL LEFT REPLIES:
"He was campaigning for the leadership moron."
Well, I guess that's one word for it...
"Some of his speaking clients, like the Ontario Public Service Employees Union, paid him $20,000 for one speech in 2010. It's illegal for unions (and corporations) to give a dime to Trudeau's political campaign. They just gave it to him personally, and called it a 'speaking fee'."
The heir transparent.

Unfortunately too many people today go for glitz over substance. Justin Bieber has very little talent as a musician yet he is wildly popular so sort of the same thing here. I just hope that by election day people will look at what electing Justin Trudeau would actually mean. The good news though is the Liberals are so weak nationally it is extremely unlikely they will win in 2015. They may reduce the Tories to a minority and form the official opposition, but that isn't totally a bad thing as the Tories will eventually get tossed from power like all parties do and I would much rather have the Liberals than the NDP take over.

the fact is, trudeau only showed up for 1/3 of the votes in the house of parliament.

saint jack layton gets caught sans pants in a chinatown whorehouse and likewise gets a pass.

what kind of person supports that sort of behaviour?

only the lunatic left.

I don't think worshipping people as saint like is a left vs. right thing, rather its an age and intelligence thing. Those who are less knowledgeable and those who are younger tend to be the most likely to buy into the messiah thing. Lets remember many in the academic world who are very left leaning are just as skeptical of Trudeau as those on the right. People who understand things realize there is no easy fix to anything whereas someone like to believe it can happen when it cannot.

He was campaigning for the leadership moron. Don't be so stupid. He's going to be your next PM, so get used to Justin Trudeau.

oh, nonny... it doesn't bother you that a goodly part of saint justin's voter base have a closet full of che t-shirts...

"In 1968, when Trudeau went from rich, socialist professor who had never held a real job in his life to prime minister, Canada’s national debt was a modest $11.3 billion; the federal deficit was zero."

"When Trudeau left office in 1984, the debt had mushroomed to $128 billion; the deficit to $25 billion annually."

and it aint't just shiny pony cashing in on daddy's rep...

"Liberals yearning for the glory days of Trudeaumania as they head into a leadership contest could face a choice between Pierre Trudeau’s eldest son and the mother of his only daughter."
