How exactly is it...

...none of these guys ever finds his personal Lord & Saviour BEFORE they end up with blood on their hands...
religion of convenience

The federal government announced last October that it would not be renewing contracts for part-time chaplains, the court document says.

The decision came shortly after the Correctional Service of Canada said it wouldn’t be hiring a Wiccan to minister in its B.C. prisons.
Oh Canada.

Your comments infer that A)that no one's life can benifit from religion once they're in jail and B)that Chrisianity is the only "real" religion and that all others are either inferior or bogus.

nonny... i guess you mean imply, rather than infer, but whatever.

what i believe is that my tax dollars should not be used to cater to the convenient johnny-come-lately spiritual lives of assorted criminals & murderers.

i have a friend whose law-abiding father had to wait 10 months to see a neurologist after a stroke. the wait at the local emerg is often in excess of 6 hours.

perhaps we can start coddling murderers after the needs of the larger non-criminal field of folk are being properly seen to.

ps... i'm an atheist. i see no 'benifit' to 'Chrisianity' or any other organised religion, however you might want to spell it.

Who the eff cares about the spiritual well being of the scum of the earth who broke the law, victimized people and are a burden on the tax payers.
