PARIS • Three French police officers were shot dead by a man when they arrived at a home in a hamlet in the commune of Saint-Just about 500 km southeast of Paris to respond to a domestic violence call.
After the shootings, police commanders sent in a rapid-response unit, deployed reinforcements to seal off the area, and launched a manhunt for the suspected attacker.
MEANWHILE BACK AT THE RANCH:HAMILTON • Const. Krista-Lee Ernst, a Hamilton Police Service spokeswoman, says the man was acting erratic and when police arrived there was a confrontation and three officers were stabbed in the head and neck.
