There's a popular saying in Cop circles...

"We don't catch the smart ones"insert alt text here
Gaddiel O'Neil Ledinek, aka G.D., was sick of being locked up. So he urged several associates of his to pressure a co-accused to take the blame in his gun possession case.

But the cops had bugged the phones. And so, in February, Ledinek pleaded guilty to attempt to obstruct justice.
Oh, it gets better...
Ledinek was one of several men who allegedly shot indiscriminately toward Highway 401 after unknown gunmen pulled onto the shoulder and opened fire on the outdoor memorial for Jenkins, who was gunned down in the middle of the afternoon last month in downtown Toronto.

Police believe Ledinek, himself a well-known rapper, was most likely hit by “friendly fire,” because the gunmen on the highway had already fled.
If this guy was any dumber, he'd be a turnip.

UPDATE: Breaking up the band, word!
"Traequan Mahoney, 20, was also arrested and warrants have been issued for the arrests of Terrell Burke Whittaker, 24, of Brampton, and Javontae Johnson, 18, of Pickering."
I sure hope we all find out which one of his homies lit up ol' Gaddiel. There's a story you can tell the grandchildren.

MEANWHILE BACK AT THE RANCH:
Emergency crews were called to Don Mills Road and St. Dennis Drive area at around 1 a.m. Thursday for reports of a shooting. Toronto Paramedics said they transported a man with serious injuries to a trauma centre.

There is no word on any arrests or a suspect description.
Of course there wasn't.
