FROM MY RECENTLY RETIRED (AFTER 38 YEARS) PARAMEDIC BUDDY
They have "language proficiency requirements."
Could've fooled me. I once took part in a cardiac arrest at a GTA hospital. The team looked like a table at the UN. Everybody was trying to talk to each other but nothing was getting done. Finally the Chinese doctor became so frustrated he shouted out... "Doesn't anybody understand what I am saying, I am speaking English!"
PS... patient ended up dying.
