York Regional Police are searching for a wrench-wielding suspect who they say tried to steal money from a dessert shop near Cooper Creek Boulevard in Markham. The suspect is described as a dark-skinned male, six-foot-three with a thin build.

A 16-year-old male from Markham is now facing charges of robbery, disguise with intent, assault and breach of conditions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

Durham Regional Police have identified Marilyn Stevens, 62, of Newcastle, as the woman found dead in Clarington last Tuesday morning.
