HERE'S A THOUGHT... KEEP KILLERS IN PRISON

CANADA... LAND OF ETERNAL FORGIVENESS...insert alt text here
-- "Convicted killer Natalie Pasqua was granted bail Thursday on her latest set of charges, (three offences, including a May 28 allegation of robbery), but under strict conditions that include house arrest. Pasqua was originally convicted of the 2007 second-degree murder in Prevost’s death, but after the Alberta Court of Appeal ordered a retrial the Crown accepted a guilty plea to the reduced charge of manslaughter." --

On July 10, 2019, Shawn Vassel, 35, of Toronto, was arrested. He is charged with:

1. Second Degree Murder
2. Discharge Firearm with Intent
3. Careless Use of Firearm
4. Unauthorized Possession of Firearm
5. Possession of Prohibited or Restricted Firearm
6. Possession of Firearm Contrary to Prohibition Order x 2
Vassal, Vassal... that sounds so familiar...insert alt text here
In 2011, Vassel — 27 at the time — was convicted of second-degree murder in the 2007 shooting of Husam Dagheim.
Obviously Pierre-lite needs to make handguns "super double illegal."

Or we could stop letting cold-blooded killers go free.

UPDATE: Maybe this'll slow him down a bit
Facing charges of second-degree murder in connection with a deadly shooting in May, the 35-year-old Vassel’s in a hospital bed at St. Mike’s — paralyzed from the waist down — after Monday’s ‘all-out gun battle’ in the Queen St. and Ossington Ave. area.

Hey, Moms... I'm just thinkin' that whole "proceeds of crime" thing... for some of us, anyway... might take some of the sheen off that halo.

No, no, you're right... what was I thinking? Forgive me my moment of madness. I mean, who wouldn't love this guy?

"James was highly respected in the community because he purchased walkers for the elderly, bought groceries for the poor and refused to sell drugs to children."
Damn, talk about standards.

You figure that's why that 16 year-old trigger-puller decided to change Mr James horoscope?

I guess maybe "the community" has a different definition of "children" than the rest of us... not to mention that "honesty & integrity" thing. They also seem to have gotten past all that silly dithering about capital punishment.

You've just gotta love how the MSM has decided to paper this thing over by peddling this whole Robin Hood myth. Trouble is... it's not going over all that well in the comments on this article.

Call me a dinosaur, but I remember when the words "honesty & integrity" were used to describe "law-abiding" citizens... and not dope-dealing parasites... however charismatic they might be.

And the family of 11-year-old Ephraim Brown, one of the two young victims Gregory Sappleton has been accused of shooting, hopes that the 25-year-old stays locked up.

Sappleton was also among three youths arrested following a drive-by shooting in August of 2005 that saw four-year-old Shaquan Cadougan and several others sprayed with bullets outside a townhouse complex on Driftwood Ave., southeast of Jane St. and Finch Ave. W.
Don't you worry, though... he's only an "alleged" gangbanger. I guess that means he won't be in the Ignatieff-approved long gun registry.

Gangster Shawn Anthony Vassel was to learn Monday about his parole eligibilty following his conviction for gunning down a rival dealer during a drug ripoff. But prosecutor Brian McGuire’s sickness caused sentencing proceedings to be postponed.

-- TORONTO -- The teenaged girl whose testimony was the catalyst in the Jordan Manners murder investigation told her aunt that she had witnessed the act inside C.W. Jefferys Collegiate on May 23, 2007.

But the witness’ statement was never heard by the jury at the trial of two 20-year-olds, J.W. and C.D., accused of murdering the 15-year-old Manners.
But that's not all...
Another piece of evidence that the jury also never heard was that one particle of gunshot residue was found on one of the accused men’s right hand.

The test was taken seven hours after the shooting. But Justice Nordheimer ruled that the accused’s rights were violated as he didn’t consent to the test, and the police didn’t have a search warrant authorizing the test.
The fact is, we have a legal system... not a system of justice.

Further investigation revealed that a loaded handgun and a bulletproof vest were allegedly found in Mr. Milligan's room, along with other drugs.
I guess you never know when you might have to cap a rogue candy-striper.

Oh yeah... the best part of this was that the fuzzy-bunny Red Star held this guy up as their "Victim of the Week" just a little while ago.

A Toronto man has died from a gunshot wound suffered in a melee police suspect was linked to rappers who commandeered a stage at a dance competition.
As hard as it is to fathom... the Liberal's 2 Billion dollar Farmer Bob Rifle Registry was apparently unable, yet again, to stem Toronto's recent tide of urban slaughter.
Keegan Allen, 18, was taken off life support at 5:50 p.m. Tuesday at St. Michael's Hospital.

Allen was shot in the head around 2:20 a.m. Saturday during an all-ages dance event, billed as Showdown 2007, which attracted 600 people to the Hungarian Cultural Centre on St. Clair Ave. W. just east of Oakwood Ave.

RELATED: Time out for an opposing viewpoint...

Marla emailed me to say she thinks there is some sort of equivalence between the fatal shooting of high school student Jane Creba and the murder of Marla's friend, 31 year-old Sean "Juice" James.
Creba was in the wrong place at the wrong time, but you do not allow the same room for Shawn.

Why, because he is black, was on a street known for late night drug deals - late at night - and dresses a certain way?

Marla... are you accusing me of being a racist?

Let me point out a couple of  glaring inconsistencies in your thesis...

ONE:  Witnesses state a cab rolled up on Sean at two in the morning in an area of the city known for prolific drug dealing... whereupon the occupants of said cab lit your friend up like the Honest Ed's marquee..

In the Creba murder, two gangs of young, armed black men started blasting away at each other on one of the city's busiest streets during retail shopping hours.

TWO:  Neighbours identified Mr James as a drug dealer.

Now Marla, perhaps the witnesses are, for whatever reason, lying about your friend. It doesn't seem like the simplest, or most obvious explanation... but it certainly is a possibility.

Will you, in turn... admit that it's also possible that the media coverage is correct?

As for your comments regarding the Ephraim Brown shooting...

With Ephraim's family, that is where they were celebrating a family birthday etc. It may not have been the most responsible thing in the world to do, in hindsight.

But at the time, they probably were trying to enjoy themselves and not anticipating a gang member to show up and destroy their nice evg. People the world over -and here in Toronto, live differently from you, party differently from you and exist differently from you.
Marla... all I can say here is that, cultural differences and "partying differences" aside... letting an 11 year old child out at "Banger Central" at one in the morning is not only not, "the most responsible thing in the world to do"... it borders on sheer insanity.

And whoever decided to let Ephraim out at this hour, at this place will have to live with the knowledge that they could have... and indisputably should have... made another choice.

Neighbours said the man sold drugs but was the "nicest person."
