Toronto police's homicide unit is investigating after a 23-year-old man was fatally shot in Etobicoke at Kipling Ave., just north of Finch Ave. Thursday evening.

UPDATE:

Investigators identified the male victim as Toronto-resident Hashim Kinani.

UPDATE2:

Nawras Nagara, 17, whom police received a judicial authorization to identify, is wanted for first-degree murder.

TORONTO • A 33-year-old man is in hospital in serious condition after a shooting in Ajax on Thursday afternoon. The suspects or suspect fled the scene in a black SUV, police said.

TORONTO Homicide #26/2020

Toronto Police say homicide investigators have been called in after a man was found dead after a fire in the laundry room of a building at 155 Balliol St., near Yonge St. and Davisville Ave. early Thursday.

Police say he had obvious signs of trauma and died at the scene.

The victim has been identified as Peter Elie, 52, of Toronto.

UPDATE2:

Rico Harvey, 27, of no fixed address, is charged with second-degree murder in Elie’s death.

Almost 200,000 surgeries and other procedures, cancer screening tests and clinical trials of experimental medicines were shelved indefinitely as hospitals braced for a possible flood of COVID-19 patients.

A deluge that never quite materialized.

Meanwhile, many hospitals have sat barely half-full.

A 15-year-old boy has been charged with murder and attempted murder in January's shooting at a downtown Ottawa Airbnb. Earlier this week, police released a photo of a handgun with a silencer that was believed to have been used in Akol's death.

Manyok Akol, 18, was murdered, shot in the eye on Jan. 8 as he slept in the Gilmour Street rental unit. Akol had already survived a shooting in August 2019 before his death.

Two other adults, Akol's cousin, age 19 & another man, age 20 were also shot, while a different 15-year-old boy was taken to CHEO.

It's a mystery why this young man was targ... sweet baby jebus...
