KANSAS - A 12-year-old Overland Park girl formed a gun with her fingers, pointed at four of her Westridge Middle School classmates one at a time, and then turned the pretend weapon toward herself.

Police hauled her out of school in handcuffs, arrested her and charged the child with a felony for threatening.

Shawnee Mission school officials said they could not discuss the case, citing privacy laws.

TORONTO - A Toronto police duty inspector said an armed suspect pursued two men into a Lawrence Heights gas station near Dufferin Street, north of Ranee Avenue late on Friday night and shot them both in full view of a likely terrified cashier.

The suspect shot two men in their 20s inside the gas station and fled the scene.

It will cost $6-million to rent the 12,754-square-foot building at 233 Carlton St., just west of Parliament. The city is also planning to spend $3.7-million to renovate the property.

Documents obtained by the Sun show that the actual property was last listed in 2003 for $2.1-million, never sold and the listing terminated.

Two people were killed outside a synagogue in the eastern German city of Halle as firearms were discharged and, according to reports, a grenade detonated in the building’s cemetery Wednesday morning.

The attack came as the city’s Jewish community celebrated Yom Kippur, the holiest day in the Jewish calendar.

A Syrian migrant male is under arrest and police are investigating a potential terrorist motive, reports claim, after a hijacked heavy goods vehicle was driven at speed into a line of waiting cars in Germany Monday night.

While this attack with an HGV fortunately saw no deaths, there have been several other similar attacks against civilians in European cities in recent years which have seen heavy fatalities.
