Miami police are saying little about an apparent drug deal gone bad that left a 17-year-old son of the Canadian consul dead and her 15-year-old son facing serious charges. The Miami Herald begs to differ. The Miami Police had plenty to say. Apparently this wasn't any sort of, well... "deal"... it was a straight-up rip & run that went sideways...
Police believe Marc Wabafiyebazu and his 17-year-old brother Jean Wabafiyebazu — both armed with guns — planned to rob the drug dealers on Monday afternoon at a home in the Coral Way area.As for younger brother Marc facing unspecified "serious charges", the Herald also seems to have details that their Canadian brethren somehow, well... overlooked...
In the gunfire, Jean was shot and killed inside the home. One of the suspected drug dealers, Joshua Wright, was also killed.
Police believe Marc chased and fired at suspected drug dealer Anthony Rodriguez as he ran outside. Rodriguez, who had been wounded in the arm, got in his car and escaped, only to be nabbed at a nearby Marathon gas station. In fact, poor little Marc seems to have made quite an impression on the police officers he encountered...
Marc, still wielding the gun when officers arrived, immediately surrendered. He was arrested on a charge of felony murder.
While being transported, Marc made “spontaneous” statements admitting to his involvement in the planned robbery, according to police.
“While sitting in the homicide unit, defendant stated he was going to kill Detective [Rolando] Garcia and that he would shoot him in the head,” the arrest report said.CTV... the Rainbows & Unicorn Farts Network.

The teens had planned to drive around the city, Mr. Wabafiyebazu said, but Jean had an “appointment” at the house where the shooting took place. So, these boys set up the meet, brought guns, killed someone... and the younger surviving son confessed to it all... but the Canadian media is willing to cover all that up.
As Richard Prior once famously asked... "Who are you gonna believe... me or your damned lyin' eyes?"
Here's the larger question... "How much of what the Canadian media tells us is spin or outright fabrication?"

...this kid is going down...
MIAMI - U.S. media are reporting that a Canadian diplomat's teenage son accused of involvement in a drug-related shootout that killed his older brother in Florida has been charged with first-degree murder.I can't wait for the NDP to start demanding this "child" be returned to his mummy.
