Iggy claims...

...you can't trust those darn Conservatives... they say one thing and do another...

But that's not all...
Ignatieff suggested there may be changes coming to Dion's "Green Shift" carbon tax plan, which is expected to be a central plank in the Liberal election platform.

"We have to make sure we listen to all Canadians -- those who make their living pouring diesel into tractors, for example. My sense is that it's important that we listen to the people who produce our food."
But, hey, wait a minute... who's actually drivin' the Big Green bus?
When Mr. Dion launched the Green Shift last June, he said Liberals would spend the summer having a "dialogue" with Canadians about the complicated plan.

Since then, one insider said the leader has rejected any criticism of the plan, insisting "there will be no changes, not a comma."
So, what's it gonna be? Changes? No changes?

It seems the fiberals just can't get their stories straight.

FROM THE COMMENTS:
Thibault says that the Green Shift is simply a 'statement of principles'.

"Unlike Easter, who would like changes made before the election is called, Thibault said he thinks voters will accept that they won't get all the details until the plan is actually implemented."

LAST WORD: Get your grovel on, Stef

C'mon... you've had plenty of practice...
Dimitri Soudas, a spokesman for the PM, could not predict if the meeting could alter the course of a campaign call. He said there are now two competing visions for the country -- Dion's plan for "higher taxes and wild spending" versus Harper's "steady hand" approach for uncertain economic times.

But Soudas said the PM will wait to hear from Dion before making a decision on whether to dissolve Parliament.

"We'll see how the meeting goes," he said.
