Love, courage, a sense of duty

You either have it... or you don't.
-- Kingston, Ontario -- Dawe came from a military family. His father, Peter, was a professor at RMC and is a retired lieutenant-colonel. Two brothers are currently serving — Lt. Col. Pete Dawe and Captain Phil Dawe. Another brother, James, also served in the Canadian Forces.

“It is important to remember that Matt was one of six soldiers who lost their lives,” the family has said.

“Our hearts go out to the other families who may not have understood the dangers of this mission to the extent that we did.”
I stand in awe of their strength and courage.

Thank you Captain Matthew Dawe.

You will be remembered.

LAST WORD: Why it's important to do "the right thing"
Compared to six years ago, 10 times as many Afghans have access to health care.

Six times as many are in school, more than 30 per cent of them female.
