OSU student newspaper apparently baffled by behavior of Abdul Razak Ali Artan...Yeah... it's a mystery...

"Somali refugee Abdul Razak Ali Artan posted on Facebook that he was 'sick and tired of seeing my fellow Muslim brothers being killed and tortured' shortly before he went on a slashing rampage at the Ohio State University that left 11 injured."

"Authorities are currently investigating the posts, allegedly made by Artan, which mention radical cleric Anwar Awlaki and accuse America of 'interfering' with other nations."

There may be a few other issues worth investigating here.

Those numbers could have been higher if not for the heroic actions of Ohio State University police officer Alan Horujko. Horujko, 28, stopped Abdul Razak Ali Artan in less than two minutes after the junior OSU student rammed his car into a group of pedestrians and then attacked them with a butcher’s knife.

Officer Horujko... well done.

A new study reveals what is really inside that greasy treat we buy at the end of a night out - and the vast majority doesn’t even qualify as Döner meat.

“Adding turkey or large quantities of sausage meat and undeclared additives is not allowed in classic Döner meat,” Dr. Volkmar Heinke, a government researcher, told NDR. “Sausage meat is something that can include skeletal muscles, including blood vessels, nerves and fat tissue. In other words, pretty much anything can be in it.”

In a separate study carried out by north German officials, 90 percent of meat sold as Döner kebabs did not meet the legal requirements.

A group of experts from state and federal police have been analyzing the events of New Year’s Eve last year under a project called “Silvester” - meaning New Year’s Eve in German.

Across Cologne, Düsseldorf, Hamburg, Frankfurt and Stuttgart, the Federal Criminal Police Office (BKA) recorded 881 sexual crimes within public places and 1,231 victims. Almost all the victims were young women between the ages of 18 and 24.

The man suspected in an attack at Ohio State University today has been identified as Abdul Razak Ali Artan, according to law enforcement officials. School officials said this morning's attack on the OSU campus began when the assailant drove a vehicle into several people, then exited the vehicle and began slashing at them with a knife.

A police officer near the scene responded almost immediately, shooting and killing the attacker within about a minute of the beginning of the attack.

Just three months ago an OSU student named Abdul Razak Artan was quoted in OSU's college newspaper, The Lantern, as he discussed his troubles finding a place to pray on his new campus.

Thus endeth the lesson.
