"And that's not even the whole story. A city hall revolt and murder are also now part of the imbroglio gripping Toronto's local government."
Wow, I can't wait to hear "the whole story." I'm envisioning intimate escapades with livestock, selling young girls & boys into sexual slavery... who knows what other depravity this guy is into?

Apparently only our omniscient friends in the media.

Hmmm... I'm thinking, before this thing is over, Rob Ford may not be the only one who needs a lawyer.

Toronto’s mayor Rob Ford must resign, as a matter of principle, as a matter of leadership, and as a matter of good governance. Even if the allegations against him are untrue, that is now beside the point. It is now too late to salvage the effectiveness, not to mention the dignity, of his term as mayor.
Unbelieveable. Even if he's innocent... he's guilty. Stalin could take lessons from these soul-less sack-o-shit scribblers.

In light of this, a fellow blogger has an interesting proposal...

The biggest scandal of all, the biggest question is what was the president doing in those eight hours. He had a routine meeting at five o’clock. He never after during the eight hours when our guys have their lives in danger, he never called the Secretary of Defense, he never calls the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs, he never called the CIA Director, Who does he call?

Five hours in he calls the Secretary of State. And after the phone call she releases a statement essentially about the video and how we denounce any intolerance. It looks as if the only phone call is to construct a cover story at a time when the last two Americans who died were still alive and fighting for their lives. There’s the scandal and that has to be uncovered.”
In other "pants on fire" news...
From President Obama on down, the recap was simple: A crowd of demonstrators angry over an obscure YouTube video that denigrated Islam’s Prophet Muhammad spontaneously stormed the complex.

Today, the public knows that those early administration pronouncements were false. They were uttered with less than two months to go in a presidential election campaign in which Mr. Obama declared al Qaeda on its heels.

The story line of the Benghazi scandal is filled with misleading statements and poor decision-making:

• A president who publicly clung to the idea that an American dabbler in YouTube productions prompted the deaths of four Americans.

• A State Department that repeatedly denied requests for more security and pulled bodyguards out of Libya as violence spiked.

• Altered “talking points” that the administration used on a series of Sunday interview shows to tell Americans that the attack was a protest rather than an orchestrated assault by terrorists.

• The world’s most powerful military as a spectator as the attack unfolded.

Toronto police have been called to the scene of a fatal shooting in the city's east end. Police reports that a man was shot at 17 Manti Road, near Morningside Avenue and Lawrence Avenue East.
Don't worry folks, I'm sure they'll keep trying.

Surenthira Vaithilingam, 37, was killed while doing landscaping in backyard in what police are calling a “targeted shooting.” “It’s very terrible, it’s scary to us,” said one of Vaithilingam’s neighbours, who comes from the same northern-Sri Lankan village that Vaithilingam was from.

ORLANDO, Fla. -- A court employee who retrieved photos and deleted text messages from Trayvon Martin's cellphone has been placed on administrative leave after an attorney testified that prosecutors didn't properly turn over the evidence to the defense, an attorney said Wednesday.

Former prosecutor Wesley White said he was ethically obligated to reveal that Fourth Judicial Circuit Information Technology Director Ben Kruidbos retrieved the data that weren't turned over.

White said the photos Kruidbos retrieved were of a hand holding a gun and one depicted drugs. The content of the text messages wasn't specified.
Unfortunately, hiding evidence from the Zimmerman defence team may be a crime... but despite a man's life hanging in the balance, the judge won't allow any of it to be presented at trial.

TORONTO - Any claim that senior political staff in the Dalton McGuinty government innocently erased their emails “strains credulity,” Ontario information and privacy commissioner Dr. Ann Cavoukian says.

New Democrat MPP Peter Tabuns complained to Cavoukian’s office after learning that internal emails, including those related to cancelled gas plants in Mississauga and Oakville, were wiped clean after the departure of staff. The cost of cancelling and relocating the two plants has climbed to at least $585 million, after an initial pricetag of $230 million.

“Not only have they been deleted, but the deleted would have been deleted, and somebody would have gone to great pains to destroy the backup as well.”

Cavoukian said she’ll go into much greater detail in the report which will be released in June.
So, the Liberals pissed away 600 million taxpayer dollars... AND THEN tried to cover it up. No wonder Dalton bailed.

Michael Adebolajo, 28, and his unnamed accomplice are believed to have knocked off duty Drummer Lee Rigby down with a Vauxhall Tigra as he walked back to the Woolwich Barracks at 2.20pm yesterday, crushing his body against a road sign.

Witnesses said the terror suspects then "hacked and chopped" at his body like "crazed animals", before dragging his corpse into the middle of the road leaving a trail of blood.

As they apparently tried to decapitate him they were chanting "Allah Akbar!" – an Islamic phrase meaning "God is great" - and yelling "this is what God would have wanted".
That's one bloodthirsty deity.

UPDATE: Sticking to the party line...
The president continued, "Keep in mind by the way these so-called talking points that were prepared for Susan Rice, five, six days after the event occurred, pretty much matched the assessments that I was receiving at that time in my presidential daily briefing."
Funny, that's not what the guys on the ground are saying.

LAST WORD: Let's see the paperwork
The source said the deletion of references to al Qaeda and the CIA's warnings came after a White House meeting on the day before Susan Rice appeared on the Sunday talk shows.
Yup... let's blame it all on Youtube.

High infant mortality among First Nations could partly account for Canada's poor ranking. While data on the subject is sparse, a 2010 study in the Canadian Journal of Public Health notes infant mortality for Quebec babies born of Inuit mothers was 23.1 deaths per 1,000, compared to 5.1 for Canadians in general.

The worst country in the entire world for first-day deaths is Somalia, where 18 per 1,000 babies never see a second day.
It's gotta be racism... right?

Hope, Change and... move along folks

Obama White House happy to blame it all on Youtube...
Further examination of Benghazi is clearly political, he said, because the incident and surrounding circumstances have "been looked at exhaustively.”

The continued pursuit of details of the attack is, Carney said, "part of an effort to chase after what isn't the substance here."
Yessirree... "further examination"... that's always a bad thing.

"I got one telephone call from a clerk that was a couple days after it happened. He was reading to me from the time line, which I already had. And that was it. And since then, all they have told me is that I am not part of the immediate family so they don't want to tell me anything."
The Whitehouse just wants this to all go away.

I know where my sympathies lie.

UPDATE: It's just so confusing, huh Barry?
The White House on Wednesday stood by its story that the Obama administration remained unsure exactly who was responsible for the attack on the U.S. diplomatic post in Benghazi nearly five days after it occurred even though new revelations show Ansar al-Sharia’s direct involvement.
The temperature continues to climb.

A Toronto public school teacher has been ordered to work from home after posting explicit sex-education brochures in his Grade 7 and 8 classroom. Published by the AIDS Committee of Toronto (ACT), it’s entitled “Use Your Head When Giving It: Blow Job Tips” and offers advice for gay men on safe sex.

The brochure includes an image of the tattooed back of a man with his pants down and his backside being clutched by man reaching around from the front, seemingly while on his knees.

TDSB spokesman Ryan Bird insisted the teacher had “good intentions” and used the brochures to communicate with students in a youthful way.
What is it they say about "good intentions"?

There's gotta be a better explanation for this... right?
The school’s trustee, Chris Bolton, did not return calls, nor did TDSB superintendent Beth Butcher.

The really big question coming out of the budget is what will happen to the province’s credit rating? The plan outlined last week adds a whopping $40 billion to the debt over the next two years.

Let’s put that in context: Before the NDP became government in 1990, the entire provincial debt, accumulated over the previous 100 years, was only $40 billion.

Now we add that amount in two years.

Drone strikes, drone strikes... that sounds so familiar...
The pace of drone strikes has increased to two or three a week, up roughly fourfold from the Bush years.

Although drone strikes have killed more than a dozen Qaeda and Taliban leaders, they have incinerated hundreds of civilians, including women and children.

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia sent a written warning about accused Boston Marathon bomber Tamerlan Tsarnaev to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security in 2012, long before pressure-cooker blasts killed three and injured hundreds, according to a senior Saudi government official with direct knowledge of the document.

The Saudi warning, the official told MailOnline, was separate from the multiple red flags raised by Russian intelligence in 2011, and was based on human intelligence developed independently in Yemen.
