Rayaaz Rasul, who lives on the street, said the son had a history of acting strangely. "He would say he was God and the angel Michael or something ... he was just a really confused guy," Rasul told CBC News.

Another neighbour, Francisco Barreto, said the son had a history of behaving erratically.

"He did have some mental health issues," Barreto said, adding police had been called to the house "several times."

So... this guy thought he was God... he's got frequent flyer points with the local gendarmes... and people are still surprised?

I'm thinkin'... the Muppets coulda seen this one coming.
