We don't seem to have...

Any violent, lawless gangbangers, out here in Hastings Cty... what's up with that?
-- TORONTO -- Four people linked to a street gang considered one of the most savage in the world were allegedly plotting to kill a law enforcement official before being foiled by police.

Toronto Police Chief Bill Blair said the alleged target was a person within Toronto's criminal justice system but refused to give further details out of concerns for the target's safety.
So... targetted killings against law-enforcement and judicial officials? Sounds a lot like what's happening in Mexico right at the moment.
Police say the transnational gang, which has roots in Latin America and 50,000 members worldwide, has been trying for years to set up cells in Canada.

The probe by the Integrated Gun and Gang Task Force is the first to uncover an organized and hierarchical MS-13 cell in Canada. U.S. magazine Newsweek recently called MS-13 "the most dangerous gang in North America."
And it looks like Toronto's regular bangers are gonna have to step it up a notch.
Asked to compare MS-13's use of violence to that of gangs like the Crips and the Bloods, Blair said it is "quite frankly over the top.

"That (violence and intimidation) is a characteristic they have clearly brought into our community," he said.
Nice. Makes me glad I fled the all-embracing metropolitan crucible 7 years ago.

Something the rest of you might wanna consider.

A correctional services officer once honoured as a hero was the target of an alleged murder plot uncovered this week as Toronto police try to stop a notorious street gang in its tracks.

The Maplehurst Detention Centre employee, who did not want to give his name because he fears for the safety of his family, confirmed yesterday that he was at the heart of a deadly conspiracy concocted by four suspected members of a violent criminal organization known as Mara Salvatrucha-13.

Police refused to give further details on the case.
Nothing yet from Mayor 'Super Dave' Miller... I guess he's too busy shutting down Toronto's perfectly legal target ranges.

Damn you... Olympic pistol shooters.
