"Muhammad Shareef Abdelhaleem, a key architect of the spectacular Toronto 18 terrorism plot to detonate huge truck bombs in Toronto in 2006 was granted day parole, Tuesday."

"The decision, which seemed to surprise Abdelhaleem and went against the recommendation of the Correctional Service of Canada, came after a three-hour parole hearing."

No worries, he's promised not to plot mass murder again.

The most notable name among the lengthy list of accused released by Toronto Police Wednesday is Tyshaun Barnett — one of four men imprisoned for the unforgettable 2005 Boxing Day shootout on Yonge St. that injured six people and killed Jane Creba.

It’s unclear how long Barnett was out of prison when he was swept up in Project Sunder.
