Theepa Seevaratnam, 38, • one of two women shot near Brimley Rd. and Sheppard Ave. E., on Friday • has been identified as the city’s latest murder victim.

Investigators are looking for a black man, about 5-foot-10, with a medium build and short hair.

Homicide #13
And remember, for every cold dead one, there's a bunch of survivors...
"Police say that a 20-year-old man is expected to survive after he was shot at an apartment building on Rowena Drive near Victoria Park Avenue early Sunday morning."
But wait... there's more...
"A 43-year-old man, Birchfield Matthews, of Toronto is dead after a stabbing in the city’s west end in the Dufferin Street and Eglinton Avenue area. Kenroy Samuel, 29, of Toronto has been charged with second-degree murder."

"It happened at an apartment on Northcliffe Boulevard shortly after 6 a.m. early Sunday morning."
And one more...
"A police investigation is underway after a man was stabbed multiple times outside a bar near Kingston and Galloway roads in Scarborough’s West Hill neighbourhood overnight."
Make that two more...
Toronto police said they were called to the area of Bellamy Road South and Adanac Drive at around 7 p.m. after they received a report that a man had been stabbed with a sword.
Scarborough, Scarborough... that sounds so familiar...
"How did boring, white-bread Scarberia become Scarlem — a mess of street gangs, firebombings and stabbings?"
That's not me, folks... that's Toronto Life magazine.

REAPING THE WHIRLWIND:
In an astonishing statement to the New York Times in 2015, Justin Trudeau declared, "There is no core identity, no mainstream in Canada," and consequently that "makes us the first post-national state."
That's certainly news in my quiet, murderless, quaintly homogeneous neck of the woods.
