Never a Taser around...

...when you really, really need one...
A man was shot by police after stabbing his father and then confronting officers with a knife in Scarborough Friday.

Officers encountered a knife-wielding man while responding to a stabbing just after 4 p.m. at a house on Laurel Ave., near Midland and Danforth Aves., Toronto Police said.

Neighbours claimed the man lunged at officers and three shots were fired. The younger man was rushed to the trauma centre Sunnybrook hospital with life-threatening injuries.

RELATED: Yup... let's blame the cops...
-- SCARBOROUGH -- A man was shot three times in front of a "large group" outside an east-end bar Saturday, but police were hard pressed to get any information about the shooter or shooters.

"The large group were reluctant and unwilling to provide police with any suspect information," Reed said of the witnesses.
And...
Cops were called to Lot 332 at Richmond and Peter Sts. just as the clubs were letting out about a man who was stabbed in his side and back just before 3 a.m., Toronto Police Staff-Sgt. John Boyce said.

After ambulance workers took the man to St. Michael's Hospital, two more men showed up at the downtown hospital with stab wounds to their backs, Boyce said.

While the pair said they, too, had been at Lot 332, "information was less than forthcoming from the victims" about what led to their non life-threatening injuries, Boyce said.
