Homicide detectives say it's too early to determine if a teen's murder is tied to his charge of trying to kill someone last year.

Billy Nathanson, 19, was shot to death in an ambush involving two male suspects outside his father-in-law's home around 9:45 p.m. Monday as he returned from work.

The victim was on $15,000 bail on charges of attempt murder, discharging a firearm with intent to endanger life, possessing a firearm without permit and using a firearm to commit attempt murder.
