Bright lights, big city...

Six weeks, six murders...
A 30-year-old Toronto man is dead after gunshots were heard in the Jane St. and Lawrence Ave. W. area around 11 p.m. Sunday.

Glenn Lowe was found with gunshot wounds outside a home in the area and died at the scene, Toronto Police said Monday.

In local news... the body of a missing Belleville area woman has apparently been found. The local radio station is being extremely coy about this one... saying that the story, if confirmed, will rock the Quinte region.

No details are being released but police are apparently setting up a news conference at a local community sports centre.

UPDATE: Local radio staion CJBQ...

...is reporting (newscast@noon) the Tweed cottage home the police are currently investigating belongs to the base commander at CFB Trenton.

-- TWEED -- Provincial police crime scene investigators here are combing through the home of CFB Trenton Base Commander Russ Williams in connection with the death and disappearance of Jessica Lloyd.

Lloyd, 27, was found dead Sunday near here, sources said, and police have since arrested a man in connection with her death. His identity has not been released.

Intelligencer reporter Luke Hendry reporting from the scene said Williams' home on Cosy Cove Lane here is cordoned off and police are poring over the residence.

Williams has been base commander at CFB Trenton since July, 2009, and previously flew VIP Challenger aircraft for such dignitaries as Canadian prime ministers and royalty, while stationed in Ottawa.
Wow... sure didn't see that one coming.

UPDATE2: Serial killings, serial rapes
Colonel Williams has also been charged with the murder of Marie Comeau of Brighton and two home invasion/rapes in the Tweed area.
Around 1 p.m. Nov. 25, Northumberland OPP were called to a Raglan St. residence. Marie France Comeau, 38, of Brighton was discovered dead. Comeau was a Corporal with 437 Squadron at CFB Trenton.
