Thank you Stephen Harper

You see a tray of drinks heading to the flight deck... you start lookin' for that seatbelt...
The Canadian Forces staff knew something wasn't right when the barbecue was lit in mid-flight.

It was the late 1990s, and Canadian troops were deployed on humanitarian missions in Honduras and Turkey following natural disasters. They flew on flights chartered by the Canadian government, flights using huge Russian-built Antonov AN-124 cargo planes.

But as Maj. L. Rutten wrote in a June 2000 e-mail, the charter's non-Canadian crew "barbecued their in-flight meals on an hibachi in the cargo compartment."
Needless to say, the Canadian military is celebrating the arrival of the C-17 Globemaster III.
