Court adjourns for day with Ghomeshi lawyer Marie Henein implying that Lucy DeCoutere's old emails may be the equivalent of the first witnesse's "string bikini" pix...
Strangely, Henein stops for the day, rather than end on a "bombshell" note. Don't understand why Henein is giving up the current news cycle.Can only speculate that either Marie Henein has compromising evidence and she's letting the witness stew about it overnight... or this was a bluff and she expected DeCoutere to narc herself out.
The only other possibility that suggests itself, is that Henein feels these emails are so deleterious to prosecution case that Lucy D. would fold completely (hard to imagine, I admit) and refuse to return to court.
I guess I'm stumped. Tune in tomorrow.

No longer stumped. Not saying Ghomeshi is a model citizen by any means, but Marie Henein just put another notch on her gun.

Crown attorney Michael Callaghan called for an early adjournment at Jian Ghomeshi's sexual trial Friday saying that he had to disclose evidence to the defence related to the third complainant.**********
Callaghan said the woman would be the only other witness he would be calling when court resumes Monday.

One of the emails, sent just hours after Ghomeshi allegedly choked and slapped her, shows DeCoutere using racy language to express her sexual desire for him and regret that she didn’t spend the night with him.No wonder people are turning to the internet for their news and entertainment.
She has told Ghomeshi’s sexual assault trial that she doesn’t remember sending it.
