...may be a venal greedbot, the media is entitled to air 24/7 coverage for months, using each and every opportunity to slag the Prime Minister... but a prominent Liberal insider with a penchant for child pornography gets significantly less scrutiny...wynning
TORONTO — A man who once was deputy education minister in Ontario and Manitoba has been sentenced to three years behind bars after pleading guilty to three child pornography-related charges.

Benjamin Levin, 63, was originally charged with seven child porn-related offences.
Levin, Levin... that sorta rings a bell...old palsWhat exactly did a Deputy Minister of Education have to do with Dalton McGuinty's plan to teach the nuances of sexual consent to pre-pubescent primary schoolers? More to the point, why isn't anyone in the media asking that question?

Head on over to CBC and enter the terms "Mike Duffy" and then "Benjamin Levin"... see what issue Big Mother thinks is more newsworthy... a Conservative Senator fudging his expenses or a Liberal Minister caught promoting child pornography.

Police Chief James Craig said at a Tuesday media conference that he’d avoid getting gas late at night in the city unless he had to, and he urged residents to be careful at the pump, according to Tom Greenwood of The Detroit News.

Craig’s commented after a driver was killed early Monday evening while trying to flee a carjackihg attempt at an east-side gas station.
By now, everybody knows that sales of firearms and ammunition have surged nationwide under the Obama administration. Coupled with Obama's unrestrained, divisive racial pot-stirring (Skip Gates, Trayvon Martin & Michael Brown), it pushes middle America down the road to increasing civil unrest.

Glug, glug... it worked for Hemingway

We now travel to the Cannes film festival, much loved playground of the idle rich and pre-eminent purveyor of socialist idealogy to the hoi-polloi, to celebrate the grandfather of Global Warming...
One of his key insights, described in the film, came from drinking whisky one day with colleagues. Watching ice crack in the glass made him realise he could extract ancient air bubbles from the ice samples they were collecting.

"I'd already had a bit to drink, otherwise I wouldn't have had this brilliant idea, this brainstorm," Lorius told reporters after the screening. "It took many years to put the ideas into practice."
Hmmm... all due respect to Claude Lorius, let's talk to a scientist who didn't get his "moment of fame" from the bottom of a whiskey bottle.

So what exactly does an objective "sobre" study of the ice-core data reveal?
Global temperature change observed over the last hundred years or so is well within the natural variability of the last 8,000 years, according to a new paper by a former Intergovernmental Panel On Climate Change (IPCC) lead author.

Dr. Philip Lloyd, a South Africa-based physicist and climate researcher, examined ice core-based temperature data going back 8,000 years to gain perspective on the magnitude of global temperature changes over the 20th Century. What Lloyd found was that the standard deviation of the temperature over the last 8,000 years was about 0.98 degrees Celsius - higher than the 0.85 degrees climate scientists say the world has warmed over the last century.

"This suggests that while some portion of the temperature change observed in the 20th century was probably caused by greenhouse gases, there is a strong likelihood that the major portion was due to natural variations," Lloyd wrote in his study.
After all the recent revelations about faked studies and fudging of data to support the theory of man-made global warming, Dr. Lloyd's study is yet another brick in the wall suggesting that Al Gore will come to be regarded as the P.T. Barnum of the 20th century.

That secretive, tyrannical George W...

The two Democrats even praised President George W. Bush, who released his free trade text in 2001. Today, President Obama, who promised to have the most transparent administration in history, is not releasing his deal.

“We’re just asking for some transparency before we have this crucial vote,” said Warren.
I guess they can hope he changes.

UPDATE: Nothing up my sleeve...
Once again, the Obama administration has stealthily released its spring regulatory agenda, which includes the costliest regulation in history, as millions of Americans hit the road to celebrate Memorial Day weekend. Obama’s Spring 2015 Unified Agenda and Regulatory Plan has more than 2,300 regulations in various stages of planning and lays out the administration’s regulatory plans for the coming months.

The White House released its Fall 2014 Unified Agenda the day before Thanksgiving, and Obama’s Spring 2014 agenda was released the Friday before Memorial Day weekend — both days involve millions of people travelling across the country and paying little attention to political news.
Gotta be a coincidence, right?

Speaking of meat and other balls

In 1975, the Swedish parliament unanimously decided to change the former homogeneous Sweden into a multicultural country. Forty years later the dramatic consequences of this experiment emerge: violent crime has increased by 300%.

If one looks at the number of rapes, however, the increase is even worse. In 1975, 421 rapes were reported to the police; in 2014, it was 6,620. That is an increase of 1,472%.

The latest statistical survey of immigrant criminality compared to that of Swedes was done in 2005. The results are practically never mentioned. Not only that; anyone who dares refer to them, for example on social media, is viciously attacked.

If you live in Ontario and have voted Liberal, you've forfeited the right to complain about your outrageous electricity bills...
Ontario generates just 0.5 per cent of global carbon emissions. Even a giant 20-per-cent reduction would knock just a tenth of 1 per cent off global emissions. A minuscule gain for the globe, at a potentially enormous cost to the people of Ontario, and all Canadians.
But it's all worth it, right?
