And somewhere in a dark corner...

...of Parliament's deepest, darkest basement... Stephane Dion throws back his head and howls...

The NEW Liberal Party... they're flexible too...

Only three weeks ago, Liberal Leader Michael Ignatieff insisted he would never support the fund without some advance idea of how it would be spent. He was adamant despite Prime Minister Stephen Harper's warning that the fund constituted a confidence matter and that opposition parties would “find themselves in an election” if they blocked it.

“I am not writing a blank cheque on $3-billion. No Canadian would respect me if I did,” Mr. Ignatieff said at the time.
Wow... those are pretty tough words. I guess the Liberal Party means business after all.

Nah... turns out Iggy was just blowin' smoke... and it's "business as usual."
Yet Liberals supported the fund Tuesday even though the government had not provided any of the details they'd demanded.

Despite Tuesday's climb down, Mr. Ignatieff continued to insist his position hasn't changed. And he even issued a thinly veiled threat to force an election over the matter.
Is that really the kind of government Canadians want to go back to?

i just can't help feeling sorry for poor ol' steffi.

here comes ignatieff... doing exactly the same sort of stuff dion did... but instead of being torn apart... he gets beatified.

funny how that works.

He gets beatified because the media love this guy, he was originally their choice for leader of the Liberals...

Now the poof, Iggy, is talking about how we need a second round of stimulus spending...

Is anyone out there in the MSM asking the real question, has stimulus spending ever worked??? All I see is debt being built up...

Nothing but nice pictues and respectful articles about Iggy in the French press and t.v. Not to mention the Gazette who loves him.
Jean Lapierre is the only one who says he is still too much the professor and lacks punch as a speaker. He also says the Liberal Party still lacks money and has a hard time finding candidates in Quebec.

"anon says... still too much the professor and lacks punch as a speaker."

yup... there's that... but hey, fellow journos... let's just skip over the political theatre and promised coup he was gonna stage... if the conservatives didn't bend to his will on the stimulus bill.

remind me again... how exactly is this guy different than the last guy?

"liberal supporter says... waaaaaaaaaaahhhhh... you let me post as nonny, so i'll try again"

thus commences, after a couple weeks absence, liberal supporter's daily bombing of the comment threads... elucidating, in great detail, how unimportant i am in his life.

The media is making th esame mistake they made with Paul whats his name...Bucky Dither's.
They will hope and pray that all the high sounding language will tanslate into votes...but at the end of the day when its shown that thats all Iggy can muster without the skills to even lead lemmings over a cliff, the knives will again come out.
Just this time they will be lead by Coderre.
