Oh, alright then...

...problem solved...

"He could have shrugged his shoulders and sat at home on his Playstation."

"But he has been at the hospital every day."

UPDATE: The thing about a "Welfare State" is...

...if you build it, they will, er... come.
-- LONDON (AP) -- A DNA test will be performed to determine if a 13-year-old boy fathered a baby with his 15-year-old girlfriend, his spokesman said Monday.

The test comes after a Sunday tabloid newspaper reported that other teenage boys have come forward claiming to be the father of the newborn baby girl.

The local council where the teenagers live said it would offer them support and that they will continue to be monitored by social workers to determine what help they might need.

They are both sweet looking babies, and yes, both babies.

It happens.

A while back I read a story out of England that stated teen pregnancies were epidemic, the government was considering forcing young girls to get birth control injections to stop the problem. The Brits pay cradle to grave welfare and some women are the fourth generation users. Women who have never worked a day in their lives are treated better and live better than the seniors who slaved away for forty years to pay for their hoe lifestyle. So sickening so sad, so many of those girls get pregnant for the welfare cheque and council (free) housing.

Maybe I'm the first one to say this, but even though Alfie is probably too young to be a father, he sure shows a hell of a lot more maturity with parenting then a lot of other adults out there.

who's laughing here, my friend?

another child born into this world.. totally screwed from the day it was born.

and yes, rose... the teenage pregnancy rate in the uk has exploded and there's a huge price (not just money) to be paid down the road for that.

mrs neo's first thought was that it was a joke a la "the onion".

when she realised it was for real... she couldn't even bear to finish the article.

p.s. -- we have a 12 year-old son.

I am with your missis on this one.
And the British media is running with it like a good time story.
Perhaps a mirror check is in order for the once"Great Britain"

PS. I am a British citizen so i get to slag them.

What do you do with that? As a parent of the yougins' all you could do was support them, and hope for the best. I have to say I know people who are parents in their 30's and 40's that I wouldn't let look after my cat.

Looks like he dodged this bullet. Hope he's learned to keep his gun in his holster.

thirteen years old... massive public humiliation... not a great combination.

let's hope he learned a lesson here without being scarred for life.
