He's so utterly magnificent...

...he can have it both ways...

Yesterday, Mr. Obama put out a statement reaffirming his support for abortion rights. He also called for steps to be taken to reduce the number of abortions.
It's true... he's a magic man.

A week ago... these numbers would have been 99-1 against.
"Given Barack Obama's desire to close Guantanamo, do you think it's time for Ottawa to bring home Omar Khadr?"

WELCOME READERS OF HOARY OL' SOCIALIST STOOGELEFT

Apparently, after 8 long years of insanely hysterical "Bush Derangement Syndrome"... all dissent, all criticism... of the President of the United States must now stop.

Effective immediately, huh Stooge?

Hey... it worked for Josef Stalin.

P.S., your Stoogeliness... you forgot to include Rex Murphy...
"Barack Obama could read a string of fortune cookie messages and some people would come away thinking they'd heard the Gettysburg address."

FROM THE COMMENTS:
"Stoogeleft/Balbulican says... I don't really give a rat's ass about your opinion."
Yowsah, Bully... I'd hate to see what'd happen if you actually did care.

That is pretty much HArper's position too. HArper wishes there were less abortions but will not make murdering babies illegal.

Khadr should go on trial in Afghanistan for his crimes.

Nah. Never said that, or anything like it. We published a condemnation of Obama's bombing in Pakistan, as well as a piece mocking the adulatory media obsession with the inaugural coverage.

I'm talking about the difference between criticizing a policy, and visceral, raging insanity like this:

"balbulican shrieks... visceral, raging insanity"

heck, bully... you mean insanity like this?

have to say... it's nice to see you guys aren't using wikipedia as a "primary source" any more.

guess that was just a little embarrassing, huh? who says you can't teach an ol' lefty new tricks?

You really DO find it impossible to follow a topic or pursue coherent thought, don't you?

But to indulge you - sorry, I didn't think you raised a point worth addressing in the Lepine thread.

You claimed he was Muslim, and cited Mark Steyn, who noted the Lepine's father was Muslim. Yup, that's true. And his mom was Catholic. His dad abandoned the family, and he was raised by his mom.

The Ottawa Citizen, later cited by Wikipedia, reported that he was Catholic. You appeared to be unaware of that. Now you know. Unless you have a source that actualy rebuts that.

Thanks for the tacit acknoledgement that you misinterpreted, then mispresented, our position on Obama, btw.

"balbulican splutters... later cited by Wikipedia"

oh, puh-leese... you copied and pasted the citation directly from wikipedia.

and as to "acknoledgement"(sic)... tacit or otherwise... is that what actually passes for argument on your planet?

hey, bully... here's a little more hope & change for you and your fuzzy-bunny minions.

oops... i forgot... we're not allowed to criticise "the one".

Heh. So to recap:

- No, you don't have any rebuttal to the Citizen's confirmation that Lepine is Catholic:

- No, you still haven't figured out that some lefty sites - like ours - started critizing Obama on day one; and,

- No, you didn't actually understand our post linking to you.

That's okay. Some of your readers might get it. I assume some, like me, drop by for the smirk value.

"balbulican spews... So to recap:"

well, bully... looks like you've got both sides of the "conversation" covered... why would you need my input?

reminds me of your buddy, "canadian cynic"... he doesn't need more than one side of an argument either.

c'mon wiki-boy... is that all you've got?

I don't, really. If you have readers who actually think, I wanted them to know that you were wrong about Lepine and about our blogging on Obama. I don't really give a rat's ass about your opinion.

"balbulican proudly announces... If you have readers who actually think, I wanted them to know that you were wrong"

funny... that's exactly what this infamous dumbstick used to say.

so anyway, bully, i guess it's... "mission accomplished"... huh?

as for not giving "a rat's ass" about my opinion... the fact that you've already left 5 comments here strongly suggests otherwise.

hurry back, my socialist friend... i'm already feeling mucho enlightened.
